"The last Mission of "Just Elmers Tune"
by Fritz Ulrich is about a B17 that was shot down over Denmark on the 24 of
February 1944. His father was a young boy at that time and an eye witness to
how the plane was shot down. Mr. Edwin Hays of New Jersey was the tail gunner
on the plane he later ended up in Stalag I Barth. Fritz Ulrich located the
German pilot who shot "Just Elmers Tune" and interviewed them. You can order a

From Stalag Luft III |
This is a fascinating look at a tunnel
that was built in a German POW camp. The tunnel allowed 76 Allied POWs to
escape. The story of the tunnel is amazing. This WW II tunnel escape story was
the inspiration for the Steve McQueen movie in the 60's. |
